Who we are
Macquarie Care is the expression of the heart of our church in the local community, mobilising volunteers to serve through our programs, services and projects to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of people living in the Lake Macquarie & Hunter Region of NSW.
Car 2 Home Project
Car 2 Home Project is a designated private car park space that allows men, women, couples or families who are sleeping in their cars a place to park and sleep, in the Lake Macquarie and Newcastle area.
Manna House
Manna House is a free food distribution centre providing support to anyone in need. Open Thursdays from 1.00pm - 2.30pm (unless sold out before)
Seniors Cafe
Seniors Cafe is a social program for seniors in our local community. Once per month we open our door as wide as we can to make space for our seniors. All are welcome!
Chaplaincy
A Chaplain is a person who offers care and acceptance to people, regardless of race, gender, culture, or worldview. They listen, support, work through life issues, and assist in times of crisis.
Macquarie Care has chaplains in nursing homes, juvenile centres, emergency services, politics, hospitals, workplaces and schools. We also provide chaplaincy training in partnership with Macquarie Leadership College.
